Road to the Crown

I started this journey from a conversation I had with my family. I always wanted to do pageants when I was younger, but I know that my family couldn’t afford it. I saw the price of the entrance fee, and I tried to figure out can I really raise that kind of money. Mind you, anything over $100.00 was a lot to me. I also saw the prices of the gowns. It became one of the dreams that you just kinda let die, especially once I graduated from college.

My sister was asked to be the accountant for a pageant one day. She came back and told me all about it. Then she remembered how much I wanted to do one. She told me that maybe they have pageants for older women. That night I went online, search, and researched an number of pageants. I looked at the mission statements of the pageants and which one I felt was a better fit for me. I also wanted to be apart of a sisterhood. One that actually does good in the community. So this upcoming weekend, I am vying for Ms. Woman District of Columbia United States.

Wish Me Luck!!!
