I am the youngest of my sisters and apparently the athletic bug didn’t really hit me. My sisters did track, lacrosse, badminton, basketball and a host of other sports. Yes, I did track for a while because I thought with long legs that’s what I was suppose to do. I tried basketball. I could shoot but couldn’t dribble. *Much disappointment to my dad, who was a basketball coach* So I became a dancer.
I never knew how much dance was a sport. It improved my breathing and stamina. I had really bad asthma growing up. This brings me to my current life. With all the training in dance, I can now do something that I never thought I would be able to do. I run half marathons. Sometimes you think you could never do something. You have to go through different obstacles that are training you for greater results. Don’t ever look at failure as the end. Run Your Own Race!
